New Headteacher from September 2024

As you will already know, our headteacher, Becca Butler, is stepping down from her role at the end of this term. We wish her well for the future and thank her for her huge contribution in helping make Dothill Primary School such a great place for children and young people in our community to learn and flourish.

In January the recruitment process began to find a replacement for Mrs Butler and the Governors are delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs Jenny Thomas as the new Headteacher of Dothill Primary School.

During a rigorous selection process involving staff, pupils, governors and representatives of the Local Authority, Mrs Thomas stood out as an exceptional candidate to all involved and was the clear and unanimous choice of all members of the selection panel.

Mrs Thomas is currently a leader at Newdale Primary School in Telford. She will be joining us in September 2024.

With Mrs Thomas’s appointment we can be very optimistic about a strong, stable and successful future for the school, and I know that she is already looking forward to meeting with parents and pupils and sharing her vision for the future.

I am sure you will join me in welcoming her to Dothill as we look forward to getting to know her and working with her.
