End of term letter to parents/carers
As we reach the end of the autumn term, I wanted to take the opportunity to reflect on what has been a busy and rewarding time for our school community. I also wanted to thank you all for making me so welcome as I have settled into my role as headteacher in this wonderful school.
This term has certainly been filled with learning, growth and achievement. From academic progress to extra-curricular activities, our pupils have shown tremendous hard-work and enthusiasm. There have been many wonderful trips and visits but highlights for me included our wonderful whole school trip to church this week, and the Christmas events shared with you all from each year group, which have been a testament to the talent, hard-work and teamwork of our staff.
We are grateful for your continued support in fostering an environment where every child can thrive. Your involvement - whether through contributing to our superb PTA, attending our events, or supporting with learning at home, makes such a valuable difference and partnership working is certainly in the best interests of every child.
As the festive season is now upon us, I hope you have time to rest and enjoy special moments with your families and friends. On behalf of everyone at Dothill, I wish you all a joyful holiday and a happy and healthy New Year.
We look forward to welcoming the children back to school on Tuesday 7th January for what promises to be another exciting term.
Warmest regards,
Jenny Thomas
Head Teacher
