Y6 Homework
Reading
Children are asked to read at home with an adult at least four times each week and parents are asked to write a signature with the dates in the Reading Record each week to confirm their child has read at least four times.
Spelling
Children are asked to practise their spellings twice per week and have this signed by an adult with dates to confirm the practise. There are a range of different ways the children can practise their spellings - it does not have to be just copying them out in their spelling books! Please see below for a list of suggested spelling activities and a link to the spelling list - although the children will have a copy stuck in their spelling books at the start of every unit, as well.
Please find below the links for the weekly spellings for each half-term for children to practice at home.

Maths
Children are asked to rehearse the times tables weekly using times tables rock stars. This includes 15 minutes practice in the Garage and 2 minutes in the Studio each week during term time as a minimum. The best way to complete this is 'little and often' throughout the week.
Topic Project
In addition to the weekly times tables and reading homework, children will be set a topic related project at the start of each half term. Children who choose to complete the project will have the opportunity to share this with the class.
Spelling
Thank you for supporting your child with this.
