Harvest Donations – Telford Crisis Support

As part of our harvest celebration, we are working with Telford Crisis Support. They are an independent charity, with a range of services provided free-of-charge to the community in Telford & Wrekin and the surrounding areas of rural Shropshire. This week in assembly, I spoke to the children about the work they do to help the people in our community. We are supporting Telford Crisis Support with their foodbank again this year and are asking for donations. This is a very practical way to show just how kind we are here at Dothill.

I have challenged the children to see if we are able, as a school, to make an even bigger donation than we did last year! We would like donations of non-perishable items, such as tinned food, pasta, long-life foods and toiletries. If you feel you can donate anything, then please can you send your items into school with your child. Below is a ‘wish list’ from the charity for things that you might already have in your cupboard that you could donate.

Telford Crisis Support – Volunteer led since 2013

We would be grateful if all donations could be handed to your child’s class teacher by Friday 10th October so that we can arrange for TCS to collect it. Let’s see if we can do even better this year!

Many thanks

Mr Kirkpatrick
