On Wednesday 26th June 2024, Year 6 will be visiting Telford College to take part in Crucial Crew. The trip will depart during the normal school day, however please ensure your child arrives at school promptly. During the trip, the children will be learning about personal safety in a variety of scenarios and will help them to prepare for secondary school.
The children will require a packed lunch plus some non-fizzy drinks (no glass bottles or cans please). If your child is entitled to free school meals, a packed lunch will be provided. However, please supply them with a bottle of water (no glass bottles or cans please) to take with them to drink during the day.
Children should wear their normal school uniform. They should bring with them a waterproof coat as many of the exhibits are outdoors. Sensible school shoes are also required as the grounds can have uneven surfaces and it can be slippery at times. Children will not need to take any money on the trip.
In order to cover the event and transport costs, a voluntary contribution of £5.00 would be appreciated for the trip. However, we must point out that if we do not receive adequate funding to cover costs, we will have to cancel this trip. Please see notes on page 2 of the letter for further information.
Would you please provide consent on ParentPay by Thursday 20th June, as we need your permission to take your child on the visit.
