Dothill Primary School

Odd Socks Day 20/11/23

We are celebrating Odd Socks Day on Monday 20th November 2023. This marks the start of our Dothill anti-bullying week.

I have already spoken to the children in assembly about this. Please can your children come to school wearing odd socks (you can put socks on top of tights). Odd Socks Day is designed to be fun! It’s an opportunity to encourage people to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique!
There is no pressure to wear the latest fashion or to buy expensive costumes. All you have to do to take part is wear odd socks to school - it couldn’t be simpler! Odd Socks Day marks the first day of Anti-Bullying Week each year to help raise awareness of bullying. The day sends an important message to pupils that they should be allowed to be themselves free from bullying and helps us celebrate Anti-Bullying Week in a fun and positive way.
Important information:
• There is no cost involved. You do not need to pay £1
• All other uniform remains unchanged – it’s not a mufti-day
• School shoes should still be worn (plain black)
We look forward to seeing your socks
