Uniform Reminders - September 2018 update

Our children always look beautiful in their uniform and they do Dothill proud. Please remember the following:

  •  Royal blue jumpers or cardigans, not navy blue
  •  Black shoes with black soles
  •  Hair decorations to be kept small and discreet
  •  Small stud earrings and a watch are the only jewellery to be worn

We understand from parent feedback that there have been some issues with School Trends. We are monitoring their service and if we continue to have problems we will consider looking at alternative suppliers.

Changes to School Uniform Orders -

7th June 2018 & 12th June 2018 updates

As detailed in the May 2018 newsletter, we have changed the way you order your school uniform with our preferred supplier, School Trends. The new service will be quicker and simpler for parents/carers as you order your items on-line (no minimum order quantities) and the garments are delivered directly to your chosen address (not school). As well as our approved decorated school uniform, you are also able to order plain items such as trousers, skirts and shirts.

We’re pleased to advise the system is now live -  link below.

Other ordering information including sizes, delivery information and the returns procedure is also available online.

If you do not have access to the internet you can collect an order form, leaflet and/or size guide from the school office and order by post.  A copy of the order form is below for those who do have access to this website but may want to complete and post.

By using School Trends for your uniform you will continue to support the school in raising funds as we do receive some commission for every item purchased.

We hope you will find using this new service an improvement in our school uniform supply.

Changes to School Uniform Orders - 09 05 18 update

As you know, we use School Trends as our preferred uniform supplier for printed garments. To make things simpler and quicker for parents we are changing the way we use this service as from May/June 2018. You will no longer need to complete an order form and pass that to school with your payment as the new system allows you to order items on-line with delivery direct to your chosen address (not school).

As soon as the system is live we will send you an information leaflet and put full details on our website.

By using School Trends for your uniform you will continue to support the school in raising funds as we do receive some commission for every item purchased.

Uniform Policy

The school uniform at our school is:

  • Royal blue cardigan/sweatshirt/sweat-cardi/fleece jacket

  • Grey skirt/pinafore dress

  • Black or grey trousers/shorts

  • Pale blue shirt/blouse/polo shirt

  • Blue and white gingham dress (summer wear)

  • Plain black school shoes (no high heels, no boots with lots of lace-holes, no deep ”treads” on soles, no flashing lights, etc.)

Sweatshirts, sweat-cardis, polo shirts, fleece jackets and coats bearing the school logo can be ordered from our uniform supplier, School Trends. Please see the link on our website in the uniform section. If you prefer, you are welcome to purchase plain items from a local store.

Please note during the winter, children are allowed to wear black boots with trousers, but not with skirts, pinafores, dresses or shorts.  Thank you.

Water Bottles

Water is vital for everyone and in children it plays an especially critical role in maintaining health and wellbeing. Studies have shown that children who do not drink enough water are more prone to tiredness, poor concentration and dehydration. As a school we encourage the children to drink water throughout the day by using individual water bottles. You can purchase a school bottle from the office for just £1.20. Please do not send your child to school with any other type of bottle. These bottles will then be kept in a specially designated area in each classroom where they can be easily accessed throughout the day. Each bottle has a name space and we ask that you write your child’s name in this space on a regular basis (some pens wash off). This will ensure your child uses the correct bottle. Spare lids are also available for purchase throughout the year for just 50p.
